Telkom Data Deals.

Telkom provides a wide range of data bundles to choose from depending on your needs as well as your data expenditure allocation with daily, weekly and monthly validity periods so as you can pick the bundle that best suits your current data needs.

Below is our detailed post of all Telkom Mobile data as well home internet wifi bundles you can enjoy as a Telkom customer.

Telkom Freedom Bundles.

Telkom calls their main mobile data bundles Freedom Bundles for it gives their customers the freedom to choose from a wide data options from the daily, weekly and Monthly bundles with some having free Night data.

Telkom Daily data bundles.

You can choose from the following:    

  • Daily 70 MB.       Ksh. 10.
  • Daily 200 MB.      Ksh. 20.
  • Daily 700 MB+ 700MB night data.    Ksh. 60.
  • Daily 2GB+2GB Night Data. Ksh. 100.
  • #Staywoke 5GB bundle (12 AM-6AM).      Ksh. 50.
Telkom weekly data bundles.
  • Weekly 350 MB. Ksh. 49.
  • Weekly 750 MB. Ksh. 99
  • Weekly 750 MB. Ksh. 249
Telkom Monthly Data bundles.
  • Monthly 2GB. Ksh. 249.
  • Monthly 5GB. Ksh. 449.
  • Monthly 12GB. Ksh. 999.
  • Monthly 30GB. Ksh. 1,999.
  • Monthly 50GB. Ksh. 2,999.
A number of Telkom data bundles come with free on-net calls with a daily allocation up to 60 minutes daily as well as free WhatsApp upto 500 MB daily. These are the daily 50MB, daily 2GB, weekly 2GB, monthly 1GB, monthly 3GB, monthly 6GB, monthly 10GB, monthly 15GB and the monthly 30GB.
You also earn Ziada Points for every purchase you make.

How to buy Telkom Freedom bundles.
To subscribe to any Telkom data bundle, 
Dial *544# on your telkom line and select option 2 for data bundles then select option your  preferred data bundle from the daily, weekly or monthly data offers.
You can also buy the data bundles directly on 'my Telkom app'. Go to internet options, choose from the daily, weekly or monthly data plans then select your preferred bundle as listed. If you also go to my Telkom app, you data balance is automatically displayed.
You can also check your data balance by dialling *131# .
You can subscribe to as many data plans as you wish, even before the expiry of the existing data bundle.
Once the validity period is over before you exhaust all your data and didn't buy a new plan, then you will loose all the balance.
If you exhaust all your data allocation and don't subscribe to another bundle you will be charged at a pay as you go (PAYG) of Ksh. 4/- per MB.


Telkom Night data.
Telkom caused quite a sensation when they launched this plan, which became the cheapest night plan in the country.
Known as the night owl, it gives you a whooping 5 GB data for just Ksh.39 valid from midnight to 6.am in the morning.
To buy the night data dial *544#, select option 4,' data bundles' then select option 4 again.

Telkom Mzito bundle.
This is currently Telkom favourite plan, which apart from data bundles also comes with all net call minutes as indicated below:
  • 3 GB + 100 all net minutes @ Ksh.499
  • 7 GB + 300 all net minutes @ Ksh.999
  • 17 GB + 600 all net minutes @ Ksh.1999
Mzito bundles also come with free night data up to 10 GB daily from midnight till 6 Am.
To subscribe to any Mzito bundle of your choice dial *544# then select option 6.

Telkom all in one monthly bundles.
This almost resembles Mzito bundle, but with an option to either choose data plus call minutes or just data only.
  • 3 GB + 100 all net minutes @ Ksh.499
  • 4 GB  @ Ksh.499
  • 7 GB + 300 all net minutes @ Ksh.999
  •  10 GB @ Ksh.999
  • 17 GB  + 600 all net minutes @ Ksh.1999
  •  25 GB @ Ksh.1999
  •  40 GB @ Ksh.2999

Telkom Home WiFi data plans.
Telkom home internet plans are available in either daily, weekly, monthly or 90 day validity plans as indicated below:

  • Daily 5 GB at Ksh. 250
  • Monthly 12GB at Ksh. 1,000.
  • Monthly 30GB- Ksh. 2,000.
  • Unlimited daily 13.3 GB FUP- Ksh. 4,000.
  • Unlimited Plus daily 16.6 GB FUP- Ksh. 5,500.
  • 90 day 100GB- Ksh. 6,000.
If you exhaust your bundle plan you have to purchase a new one. Otherwise you will be charged at a flat rate of Ksh. 2 Bob per Mb.
For the monthly unlimited, you can browse at full speeds up to 4Gb per day, up to 6Gb at 1 mbps and 512 kbps if you exceed 6Gb per day.
This means  the unlimited plan gives you up to 120 GB of data per month on full speed, and you can exceed this but at a slower rate.
Closely compared with the Freedom bundles  Telkom home plans seems a little cheaper.
For Ksh.2999, Telkom home gives you 36 GB monthly while for the same amount and validity period freedom bundles gives 35 GB.
How to get connected to Telkom home.
Apart from a 4G Telkom router, you are also required to have a 4g sim card, different from your mobile phone Sim card.
To register kindly visit your nearest Telkom Kenya shop.

How to purchase Telkom Home WiFi bundles:

  • Top up using Telkom Kenya scratch cards or m-pesa pay bill number 220220 and enter your home data number as your account number.
  • Or visit http://myaccount.telkom.co.ke/.
  • Once your account has been credited,diall *222# from your Telkom mobile number or visit your nearest Telkom Shop.
  • You can as well call Telkom care at 100 for assistance.
Please note that all the above home plan bundles are prepay and subscribers can enjoy other Telkom Kenya services like calls at ksh.4 a minute and SMS at 1 Bob a minute.
If you don't use all your data before the expiry of your data plan, the remaining bundles won't be rolled over to the next period. However, if you buy a new plan before the expiry of the existing plan,the bundles will be summed up with the new ones.

Telkom Holla.
Telkom Holla closely resembles all in one bundles, but majorly inclined towards calls than data just like Airtel's Tubonge.
There are three options to choose from,Holla, Holla plus and Holla premium as given below:
For Ksh.9 per day you get:
  • 10MB.
  • 40 minutes on net calls.
  • 40 SMS across all networks.
  • Call other networks at Ksh.3.30 a minute.
Holla Plus.
  • Ksh.19 per day
  • 20 MB+30MB valid for 24 hours.
  • Free on net calls.
  • Free SMS.
  • Call other networks at Ksh. 3.30 per minute.
Holla Premium .
  • Ksh.49 valid for 3 days.
  • 100MB+100MB data.
  • Free SMS across all networks.
  • Free Telkom to Telkom calls.
  • Call other networks at Ksh.3.30 a minute.
To subscribe to any Holla dial *10# and select option 2.
Alternatively dial *544#, then select option 7,"Niaje+Holla".
