Since Telkom Kenya took over orange Kenya, it has been working hard to position itself as a key Telecommunications provider in the country and so far so good. 
One of the products which Telkom retained it's name when it rebranded is Holla which was then orange holla. It offered free orange to orange calls, free SMS to orange,20 free SMS to other networks, 10 Mb data, free fb and Wikipedia for ksh.10 daily.
What is Telkom Holla?
This is a service provided by Telkom Kenya which closely resembles  Safaricom flex and Airtel Unliminet. With just one purchase you get data, call minutes and SMS thus saving you the worry of having to subscribe to each one of them individually.
Subscriptions.
Telkom holla bundles are available in three options. You can choose from holla, holla plus or holla premium as shown below.
  • Holla.For only ksh.9 daily you get 40 minutes Telkom to Telkom calls,40 SMS across all networks and 10 mb data.You also get to call other networks at ksh.3.30 per minute.
  • Holla Plus.This is a 24 hour product at ksh.19.Holla plus gives you free Telkom to Telkom calls,free SMS across networks and 20 Mb plus 30 Mb data.You also get to call other networks at only ksh. 3.30 Bob per minute slightly higher than Airtel Tubonge.
  • Holla Premium.For only ksh.49, Telkom Kenya gives you free Telkom to Telkom calls, free SMS across networks and 100Mb plus 100 Mb free data.It also gives you an advantage of calling other networks at ksh.3.30 .This product is valid for 3 days.
Initially both holla plus and premium used to allow you call other networks at Ksh.2 per minute but Telkom silently increased this to the current rate of Ksh.3.30 across network rate.
All free holla minutes and SMS are subject to a fair usage policy of upto 200 minutes per day and 100 SMS per day.
How To Subscribe To Telkom Holla.
Simply dial *10# on your Telkom line and select option 2. Alternatively, diall *544#, then option 7'niaje+ holla bundles' then option 2.You can also go to my telkom app, click 'Talk text and more' select holla bundles then choose your preffered plan. To check your holla balance dial *131#.
Expiry period.
Holla and Holla Plus bundles are valid for a period of 24 hours from the period of purchase, while Holla Premium is valid for 3 days.
All holla plans are auto renewed, meaning that in case you have sufficient airtime on your line, Telkom will automatically purchase a new bundle similar to the current one once it expires.
In case you don't want this to happen, just dial *11# to stop auto renewal.
Holla bundles flexibility.
When you have an active holla subscription you can also subscribe to another bundle be it similarly to the current one, a lower or a higher bundle plan. All the balance will be forwarded to the new plan and will expire on the expiry of the new holla plan.
If you subscribe to another bundle before the expiry of the existing one all the balance will be forwarded to your new bundle.
However, in case you don't exhaust all your balance before the expiry period you will loose all the remaining holla and won't be added to a new plan if you purchase another one.
When you purchase any holla bundle you are awarded Ziada Points at 1 point per every Ksh. 1 spent just like any other Telkom products and services.
