How to enjoy free TelkomMadaraka life free data and minutes

All new and existing Telkom Kenya pre-paid customers are now entitled to free Internet data and call minutes for the rest of their life courtesy of a new product known as Madaraka Life.

Telkom says that this new product is in line with the spirit of Madaraka and will reward their customers free 1GB mobile internet and 100 free on-net call minutes every month for the rest of their life after a one off Ksh. 100.

New customers will be automatically enrollment to Madaraka life upon toping up Ksh. 100 during the registration of their new Telkom lines. The customers will then be able to enjoy the free 1GB data and 100 minutes Telkom to Telkom every month without paying any extra amount.

The new subscribers will also get a Ksh.50 cashback to their T-kash Mobile money wallet after being successfully registered to the mobile money platform.

If you are an existing Telkom user, all you need is to dial *444*58# to enroll to this new exiting offer. You will be required to top up Ksh. 100 airtime in order to successfully enroll. You will also get the Ksh.50 cash back to your T-kash Mobile wallet.

As an extra bonus to this new product, all Madaraka life users will also be entitled to three extra monthly booster packs which they can buy at at their own will. These will are:

  • 1GB data @ Ksh. 75.
  • 4GB @ Ksh. 240
  • 8GB @ Ksh. 410.
The booster packs are all valid for 30 days or one month and won't in any way affect the free 1GB data which you will continue to receive every month.
In terms of usage the free 1GB will be used first before any other data which is a great plus. Likewise the free 100 minutes Telkom-to-Telkom calls will take precedence.
All users will also call across other networks for just Ksh. 2 Bob per minute.
The free 1GB data won't be rolled over to the next month in case you don't exhaust all your bundles but there will be no cause for alarm since you will still get another free 1GB data.
To check your balance just dial *144# or *131# and select 'check balance'
This new move by Telkom Kenya will greatly shape the Telecommunications space in the country considering that call rates and data are still very costly and very few Telco providers have free packages and none like this one.
Currently Safaricom gives it's customers free 1GB Sharehekea data on their birthdays meaning they get this offer only once every year.
On the other hand Airtel Kenya have Tubonge which offers free Airtel-to-Airtel call and call across networks @ Ksh. 2 Bob per minute upon daily, weekly or monthly subscription.  Still this great offer doesn't come close to the new Telkom Madaraka Life Offer.
We expect that other network providers especially Safaricom and Airtel will be closely monitoring this new development and will introduce similar products or rewards if this new Telkom offer becomes a success.
While we must give it to Telkom Kenya for initiating such a bold product that will form a strong life Time bond between them and their customers, we must remind them that they should work very hard to improve their Network coverage across the country, since it won't make sense to get an offer which you can't enjoy due to poor Network.
