Telkom Kenya data bundles their prices and how to subscribe.

Telkom Kenya is the third largest telecommunications provider in the country after Airtel and Safaricom.
Since it's rebranding from Orange, Telkom has tried to reposition itself as a customer focused service provider and at some point had the cheapest data plans.
Though it has been overtaken by Airtel as the most affordable network, Telkom still has some of the best data offers including the 5 GB Night Data Offer.
In this article we are going to discuss all the various data plans that you can enjoy as a Telkom Kenya subscriber, including their prices and added benefits if any.

Telkom Freedom bundles.
These are the main Telkom prepaid data plans under *544#.
Just as the name suggests, These bundles are intended to give you freedom of browsing, giving you much value for money and allowing you to stay online much longer as compared to it's close competition.
All Freedom bundles also give you free WhatsApp, Facebook, free calls and initially free 4G data.
The bundles are available on either daily, weekly or monthly validity periods, with each having a long list of options to choose from as indicated below.
Daily Freedom data bundles.

All Freedom bundles except the daily 40 MB. come with free WhatsApp allocation up to 50 MB daily for the entire duration of the data purchased.
There is also a 50 MB WhatsApp plan for only Ksh.05 valid for 24 hours under the daily bundles.
However, a comparison of Free WhatsApp clearly depicts Airtel as the Kings of free WhatsApp.
Telkom have revamped the freedom bundles to also include free Telkom to Telkom calls once you purchase your preferred data plan.
To purchase the freedom bundles, dial *544# on your Telkom line, select option 4, 'Data bundles', then choose your preferred data plan.
Telkom Night data.
Telkom caused quite a sensation when they launched this plan, which became the cheapest night plan in the country.
Known as the night owl, it gives you a whooping 5 GB data for just Ksh.39 valid from midnight to 6.am in the morning.
To buy the night data dial *544#, select option 4,' data bundles' then select option 4 again.
 Telkom Mzito bundle.
This is currently Telkom favourite plan, which apart from data bundles also comes with all net call minutes as indicated below:
  • 3 GB + 100 all net minutes @ Ksh.499
  • 7 GB + 300 all net minutes @ Ksh.999
  • 17 GB + 600 all net minutes @ Ksh.1999
Mzito bundles also come with free night data up to 10 GB daily from midnight till 6 Am.
To subscribe to any Mzito bundle of your choice dial *544# then select option 6.
Telkom all in one monthly bundles.
This almost resembles Mzito bundle, but with an option to either choose data plus call minutes or just data only.
  • 3 GB + 100 all net minutes @ Ksh.499
  • 4 GB  @ Ksh.499
  • 7 GB + 300 all net minutes @ Ksh.999
  •  10 GB @ Ksh.999
  • 17 GB  + 600 all net minutes @ Ksh.1999
  •  25 GB @ Ksh.1999
  •  40 GB @ Ksh.2999
Telkom home data bundles.
Telkom home bundles are dedicated for home internet
To be a Telkom home subscriber you need a 4G router available at any Telkom shop near you.
The router comes with a 4G home sim card and free 10 GB welcome data valid for one month.
Once the free data is exhausted you will have to subscribe to any of the home data plans below:
Daily.
5GB @ Ksh.199 valid for 24 hours. 
Weekly Home data

Out of these plans the most preferred is the monthly unlimited @ Ksh.2,999.
The unlimited bundle fair policy usage gives you up to 6GB daily allocation on full speeds, then 10 GB at 1 Mbps and 10 GB at 512 kbps, reset at midnight.
You can buy another bundle before the expiry of the existing one, and the balance will accumulate.
But in case you don't exhaust all your data before the expiry period you will loose the balance since these plans don't roll over.

Telkom Holla.
Almost resembles all in one bundles, but majorly inclined towards calls than data.
There are three options to choose from,Holla, Holla plus and Holla premium as given below:
Telkom Holla.
For Ksh.9 per day you get:
  • 10MB.
  • 40 minutes on net calls.
  • 40 SMS across all networks.
  • Call other networks at Ksh.3.30 a minute.
Holla Plus.
  • Ksh.19 per day
  • 20 MB+30MB valid for 24 hours.
  • Free on net calls.
  • Free SMS.
  • Call other networks at Ksh. 3.30 per minute.
Holla .
  • Ksh.49 valid for 3 days.
  • 100MB+100MB data.
  • Free SMS across all networks.
  • Free Telkom to Telkom calls.
  • Call other networks at Ksh.3.30 a minute.
To subscribe to any Holla dial *10# and select option 2.
Alternatively dial *544#, then select option 7,"Niaje+Holla"
