Gotv is one of Africa's leading paytv provider owned by Multichoice Africa Limited, a South African company that also owns DStv.

Launched in 2011, Gotv has a presence in 11 African countries including Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zambia and Ghana. Unlike other paytv services, Gotv is only available via a terrestrial antenna, and don't have a satellite dish.

In Kenya Gotv has four bouquets or packages, Gotv lite, Gotv access, Gotv Plus and Gotv Max. The cheapest is the Gotv lite with 21 channels costing Ksh. 255 per month or Ksh. 610 for three months or Ksh. 1525 for 12 months. The other packages are only available in monthly subscription and the most expensive Gotv Max will charge you Ksh. 1070 per month for 58 channels.

Gotv customers have an option to choose between four bouquets, depending on the level of entertainment they desire and the amount of money they are willing to part with per month for the same.

Unlike other paytv providers in the country, Gotv have the least number of channels, but are of high quality compared to others, especially on Gotv plus and Gotv Max. Being part of Multichoice, you can also get one EPL match per week courtesy of Supersport 2. There are also a number of kids shows, documentary and tv show channels to choose from, apart from the many free to air international and local channels.

The Gotv starter kit  includes a Gotv decoder and a Gotenna. The installation is quite easy and simple, and won't probably need a professional to do it.

Currently Jumia is selling a Gotv decoder+ outdoor antenna + one month Gotv Plus for Ksh. 2618, and a decoder only + one month plus for Ksh. 1169.
