Safaricom Mpesa services on Mysafaricom app, Mshwari and KCB Mpesa currently unavailable.

M-pesa services currently unavailable
Mpesa customers accrosa the country are currently not able to access their Mpesa wallets via my Safaricom app, Mshwari or KCB Mpesa.
According to a tweet by Safaricom PLC, Mpesa customers can't use the above listed platforms as at now, and customers are advises to use the Sim toolkit.
The statement reads:
Please note that M-pesa services on Mysafaricom App, M-Shwari and KCB M-pesa are currently unavailable. We are working to restore all services as soon as possible. As an alternative to the app, customers can continue to access M-pesa services through the sim Toolkit on your phone menu. We are sorry for any unconvince and thank you for your patience.
Though no further details are given on the possible cause for the disruption, it's possible that Safaricom are doing a major maintenance on the affected platforms.

I tried to withdraw some amount from KCB to Mpesa and got a notification that the service is currently under maintenance.
Knowing how crucial Mpesa services are in the country and especially at this time, many Kenyans will be greatly affected by this situation.
