MySafaricom app now has a new look and feel(comes with 500 MB incentive)

MySafaricom app new update

 Safaricom have been constantly and purposefully improving their app, each time adding new features and making it more user friendly.

And now they have rolled out a major update on their app, the update so huge that you will have to totally discard the old app and download the new one.

The app now has a new trendy look and feel, with a smooth interface that's nice to use and has a high response rate. The frequently used Safaricom Services including airtime and data purchases, sending money and Lipa na Mpesa among other services are now just a few clicks away.

The app has a totally new user interface, and each time you log in the app, you get a warm greetings, with offers, ask zuri, send money, Airtime Topup, Lipa Na M-Pesa, Data, cals, SMS and Home fibre all under the Home screen.

A mong the new MySafaricom app features are:

  • An option to select upto five of your frequently used Safaricom Services and group them all under the 'favourites' tab which is nicely placed at the bottom bar with the Safaricom logo.
  • Easily access your HOME FIBER services on the home screen.
  • Carry all M-Pesa transactions within the app. You can now scroll down your contacts to pick the number you want to send money to, Hakikisha the recipient's name and confirm the details of your M-Pesa transaction before hitting the send button. You also get to know the transaction charges, and if the recipient told you 'tuma na ya kutoa', then you can easily do so by checking on the transfer charges box.
  • You can also access all your M-Pesa statements thanks to a new interactive M-Pesa Statements feature.
  • Top Up. Recharge your number or those of your loved ones directly from the app,either via M-Pesa, or just scan the scratch card.
Something to not however is the missing Tunukiwa Offers unlike in the previous app. Whether this was a deliberate move or not we will find out in the coming days.
In order to promote the new app, each download of the New MySafaricom app now comes with free 500 MB data, enough to allow you experience the new features as well as maybe tell your friends and family via social media to also download the app and enjoy the new, fresh feel that comes with the app.
MySafaricom app was first introduced in April 2016, and since then has undergone major updates to improve it's user experience as well as add new features.
