How to buy data bundles with storo bonus and check Balance.

Storo data
Storo, commonly known as 'stori ibambe' is one of Safaricom's loyalty programs that award it's customers free airtime for using the network.
Each customer is given a daily spent target which can be achieved by buying data or making calls and sending SMS.
Once you hit the daily spend target you are given free airtime to be used for calls, SMS both off and on net or buy data.

  • You must hit your daily target before midnight.
Is Safaricom storo data worth it?
Since inception, storo has had one major undoing; it's short validity period.
You can only use the storo bonus till midnight of the same day, no matter what time you reached your target.
In order to limit increasing criticism, Safaricom has introduced two storo promotions.
For any storo target you hit, you will be awarded double the storo airtime. For example, if your daily storo target is ksh.1,00, you will be awarded 200 storo airtime.
Also, until you will be awarded 200MB free YouTube data each time you reach your daily target.
Despite these two attempts to re-ignite storo, it is clear that Safaricom doesn't want you to spend your storo airtime for data, and that is why the storo data bundles are so worthless as compared to using the storo airtime for calls.
