Stream football live on your phone with Safaricom Football Pass or Telkom football bundles.

Safaricom Giga football pass

The Fifa word cup 2018 is on in Russia, and for the footfall lovers who for one reason or another can't access their TV sets, there is no cause for worry, since Safaricom and Telkom Kenya have come to your aid, as long as you have a smart phone. You can stream the games with football data tailor made just for that purpose, via dstv now app, Startimes app of kwese Iflix as explained below.

Safaricom Giga Football Pass.
Safaricom PLC have partnered with Kwese Iflix to allow iflix members stream live football matches without having to wory about huge data costs associated with live streaming.
Likewise safaricom have also partnered with DSTV for the same.
The Giga football pass is therefore a special data plan offered by Safaricom that allows football fans stream world cup matches online live on their mobile and on safaricom big box.
To enjoy the service you must have a valid subscription of Dstv now app, Startimes app or Kwese Netflix.

How to subscribe.
To get the data dial *544# on your Safaricom line and select the first option,' Giga football pass'. Choose your streaming app and select your preferred bundle plan. You can either buy using airtime or M-pesa.
You will receive a notification SMS with a link yo your app. Please not that If you buy the daily 1 Gb  pass for Iflix, you won't need to pay for the app subscription again.

Football pass bundle options.
The following are options you can choose from:
  1. Ksh.99 Kwese football pass which gives you 1 GB data plus Iflix subscription for 24 hours.
  2. Ksh.50 football pass for Startimes, Dstv now app or Kwese valid for 24 hrs.
  3. Safaricom says there is a 3 hr subscription at Ksh. 30 but I am not seeing this option under *544#
I have noted that some people still confuse the 1 Gb  Giga football pass and the Daily 1 GB Giga bundle.

Telkom Football Data Plans.
Telkom has been battling Safaricom with affordable data, and it would not have allowed to be beaten in a game they set the rules.
Telkom Kenya has partnered with Dstv to bring you affordable football streaming on the Dstv now app. You can choose from daily plans or monthly. The daily offer gives you 4 Gb  4G data at only Ksh. 49 valid for 24 hours and the monthly 10 Gb  4G data at Ksh. 999 valid for 30 days.
Kindly note:
  • These data are meant for football streaming only and cannot be used for normal browsing, and therefore will be of no value if you don't already have Dstv app now. Likewise, if you don't exhaust all the bundles before the end of the validity period, you will lose all the remaining data since they cannot be carried forward or the validity period be extended unless you buy a new bundle after the expiry of the existing bundle.
  • The offer is only available to prepaid Telkom Kenya customers on tujuane tariff or those on Telkom home plans.
To subscribe, dial *544# on your Telkom Kenya line or you can do so on the Telkom app. To check your bundle balance at any time, dial *131#.
