Safaricom have finally updated their 'my safaricom app' to include new features like M-pesa, which was missing in the previous versions.
The app, which was launched in April 2016, has seen major improvements since then, each new version much better than the former.
My Safaricom app was introduced with the aim of making safaricom customer's experience with safaricom easier and trendy, especially with the fact that for safaricom customers, life is all about lots of USSD numbers; one for topping up, checking balance, airtime and data, and so on.
Safaricom therefore decided to bring all these to one location, in some instances making some transactions one touch,So you don't need to worry about all those ussd codes.
You can use the app to perform and transact various safaricom services, from the basic like checking your airtime balance to payments using Lipa na Mpesa.
Here is how you can make the best out of the My Safaricom app:

1. How toCheck Balance on my Safaricom.

You will receive a confirmation notification with the recipient's phone number, name amount you've entered and the transaction cost. What makes this option much fun is that you no longer need to gram the number, just click the search icon and it takes you directly to your phone book. Select the person you want to send money to and click, then enter the amount.
Under loans you can get Mshwari or KCB loans and savings. On lips na mpesa, the are two options, pay bill and 'buy goods and services' .
Safaricom have also added an extra feature, ' Bill manger'.

here you find the most popular pay bills including KPLC, Safaricom post pay, Dstv, go TV and Startimes. The app automatically detects the pay bill services you have been frequently using and adds them to 'frequently paid'.Next time you want to make payments you just scroll and select the playbill and enter the amount to make payment. A window will pop up where you will be required to enter your mpesa pin and 'make payment'.You will receive a notification on the app of your payment followed by an SMS.

Fuliza M-pesa is the latest product from Safaricom that allows registered M-pesa users access a special M-pesa overdraft when they have insufficient funds on their M-pesa account.

You're left with sluggish speeds, or worse, your 5G connection reverts entirely to 4G/LTE. The problem isn't a technical glitch, nor is it a random network failure. It's a carefully crafted policy known as the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), and it's the invisible hand throttling your internet access. 🤯 The Truth: "Unlimited" Doesn't Mean Infinite The sudden death of your high-speed 5G service is the direct consequence of Airtel enforcing a hidden data cap, which they have now clarified in their terms and conditions, largely following directives from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
