Go to the Madaraka Express website at https://metickets.krc.co.ke.


Select your train type then select your boarding station and your destination.



Choose the date you want to travel and your preferred departure time.


Then Click on the book train button this will direct you to the search results page where you will see the number of seats available and the pricing.

Fill in the number of people traveling whether children or adults then choose the coach type.

Remember prices may vary depending on the type of coach you pick.


Next click on book a train button, this will take you to the next page where you will be required to submit the passenger's details.


Your id or passport number.


Select your gender and your nationality.

Add your payment details, that is your Mpesa number and your email.


Tick the recapture to confirm you are not a robot.

Accept the terms and conditions then click pay now and a Mpesa payment pop-out will be sent to your phone.

Input your pin and click ok.


Make sure you have funds in your Moesa for it to work.


A Mpesa confirmation sms will be sent to you.


After validation, an sms containing your ticket details will be sent to you.


The details contained will be departure time, type of travel coach, seat number, and e-ticket number.


You will be required to print your ticket when you get to the station.


If you choose to pay later make sure to pay within 10 minutes before the booking details expire.

5. Next choose a coach (First class or Economy)

6.Enter the total number of passengers max 10.

7.Enter how many children passengers between the ages of 3-11 are accompanying you.

8.Proceed to payments

Paying for your ticket through Mpesa is easy.

After paying the required amount with M-Pesa,

You will receive your booking confirmation message.

Get your sms and/or email confirmation with a unique code

Present sms and/or email to print a ticket on the date of travel.
