Vivo X60 price in Kenya and Specifications

Announced March 22nd, Vivo X60 is one of the three Vivo flagship devices announced this year with an expected retail price of Ksh. 71,000. The X60 is the successor to the X50 released June last year and both have a number of similarities except for some few upgrades.

The X60 features a 6.56 inch AMOLED display with a Full HD + resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels. This is the same screen size and display resolution as it’s predecessor as well as the Vivo X60 Pro and the X60 Pro+.

However unlike the X50 which had 90Hz refresh rate the X60 features a 120 Hz refresh rate that can be switched to a dynamic refresh rate of between 60 and 120 Hz. It also Supports HDR10+. This is a top notch display quality that is more than good enough for a phone at it’s price tag and you will definitely love watching movies and playing games on this device.

The X60 ships with Android 11 atop Funtouch 11.1, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor. The 7nm chipset is a powerful 5G processor with a top clock-speed of 3.2 GHz making it’s CPU one of the fastest single-core CPUs around. The processor is more than capable and can handle multitasking as well as heavy Graphics Gaming pretty well. The onboard 12GB RAM ensures it can maintain it’s pick performance without a hitch. The same processor also Powers the likes of Oppo Find X3, Xiaomi Mi 10s and the OnePlus 9R among others.

Unlike the X50 that featured four rear Cameras, the X60 comes with only three rear Cameras but the level of hardware and software technology packed on these cameras make them one of the best in the industry with Zeiss Optics and Gimbal Stabilization.

The rear cameras are the 48MP wide angle angle primary lens, a 13MP portrait lens with 2X optical zoom and a 13MP Ultrawide lens. At the front is a single 32MP selfie camera.

Apart from the high quality photos, the cameras can also shoot upto 4K videos @ 30 as well as 60 fps with Gimbal Stabilization as well as HDR shooting. Just like the rear cameras the font selfie camera also produces excellent results and you will love how your selfies look on your social media handles. If you’re that person who’s into Instagram photo sharing then this is a phone for you.

The X60 comes with a 4,300 mAh battery and we would have loved if Vivo had used a 6,000 mAh battery on this phone. The decision to go for such a battery capacity could have been necessitated by the need to keep the phone as slim as possible, at just 7.4mm. This is the same thickness as the recently launched Oppo Reno 5F making them some of the slimmest phones in the market.

While the battery might not last more than a day due to the demanding 120Hz refresh rate and the big display, the phone comes with a 33W charger that can fill up the battery in under an hour and 20 minutes thus saving you a lot of time in the socket.

Vivo X60 Price In Kenya.

The Vivo X60 is expected to have an initial retail price of Ksh. 71,000 once it becomes available in the country. It will be one of the best alternative to more expensive flagship phones like the Galaxy S21 series.

The phone will however have to compete against a number of other top mid-range Smartphones including the Nokia 8.3 and the Samsung Galaxy S20FE.

The Nokia 8.3 which currently retails at Ksh. 60,999 has a 6.81 inch IPS LCD screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels with no refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 765G which is the same chipset in the Vivo X50.

On the other hand the Samsung Galaxy S20FE has a 6.5 Super AMOLED display with the same 1080 x 2400 pixels and is powered by the Exynos 990, more than the same as the Snapdragon 765G. The phone is currently priced at Ksh. 63,999.
