Tecno Camon 17 Pro Price in Kenya and Specifications

The Tecno Camon 17 Pro is the most advanced of the Tecno Camon 17 series expected to retail at around Ksh. 28,500 once it becomes available in the country. The phone was Launched in Kenya on May 8th together with it's younger sibling the Camon 17.

The Camon 17 Pro is advertised by Tecno as a selfie phone and thanks to it's 48MP selfie camera it is actually one of the best selfie phones around closely rivaling other phones that have invested in the selfie camera like the Galaxy A series, Vivo V20 and the recently launched Vivo V21.

Apart from the powerful selfie camera the Camon 17 also has a number of interesting specs including a good processor, decent rear cameras, big battery, good display and huge memory capacity. The phone is well tought out so that it is almost impossible to find a fault on it.

The Camon 17 Pro features a big 6.8 inch IPS LCD screen the same size as that of the Camon 17T and slightly bigger than the 6.6 of the Camon 17. Though we would have loved if Tecno had given us an AMOLED panel here, the 90Hz refresh rate is a welcomed addition though we already saw that in last year's Camon 16 Premier.

The display resolution of this phone is a Full HD+ with 1080 x 2460 pixels and has an impressive pixel density of 395 ppi. This is almost the same display resolution in almost all sub 25K phones like the Infinix Zero 8, Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 8 Pro making these phones the very few high quality display budget phones.

The phone is made of a Glass front, a plastic back and a plastic frame and has no protection and is not IP rated thus is not dust or water resistant. This means you will have to be extra careful with your phone at all times. While the decision to go for plastic is so as to bring the price of this phone as low as possible, we have already seen a number of much cheaper phones especially from Xiaomi that have Gorilla Glass protection including the Redmi Note 8 and Note 9.

Being a 2021 phone the Camon 17 pro ships with Android 11 atop the HiOS 7.6 skin. HiOS has not been my favorite since due to it's annoying ads and lots of bloatware and I won't say anything much about it here.

This phone is available in only one memory variant of 8+256GB making it one of the very few under 30k phones with such an amount of storage and we must give it to Tecno for doing a proud job here. You can choose between two color variants of California Silver and Maliba Blue.

In the camera department the Tecno Camon 17 Pro has a total of five cameras four in the rear and one in front. The rear cameras are made up of a primary 64MP wide lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP monochrome and a 2MP depth sensor. Supported Camera features include LED flash, panorama as well as HDR and can shoot 4k videos. The highlight of this phone's camera prowess is in it's 48MP selfie camera that produces stunning selfie cameras.

The phone is powered by a non removable 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charge support which is a welcomed addition to the many exiting features of this phone.

The Camon 17 Pro is expected to retail at around Ksh. 28,500 once it becomes available in the country. The 6+128GB Camon 17 is already selling in the country at Ksh. 18,999.

The Camon 17 pro will have to impress it's customers against a number of worth Competitors that are already available in the cointry including the recently launched Infinix Note 10 Pro, Camon 16 Premier, Samsung Galaxy A32 and a number of other sub 25K phones that have almost the same Specifications.

Tecno Camon 17 pro vs Infinix Note 10 Pro.

The Camon 17 Pro's advantage over most of it's close Competitors is the huge memory capacity and the powerful 48MP selfie camera.

Airtel Zawadi points-Everything you need to Know.

Zawadi is a Swahili term for a gift or to reward.
