The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 was the second of the gaming smartphone line up released March 2019 as the successor to the first Black shark of April 2018. The Black Shark 2 has a regular price of around Ksh. 35,900 though is not widely available in the country. 

Despite being a Gaming-centric phone, the Black Shark 2 has a nice balance that also appeals to non gamers as well and had some of the best flagship features of it's time including a powerful processor, strong build and big memory.

It features a 6.39 inch AMOLED display which is a worthy upgrade from the 5.99 IPS LCD of it's predicessor.  It also comes with a Full HD + display of 1080 x 2340 pixels the same as other Black Shark phones including the Black Shark 4 series. 

The Black shark 2 is made of a Glass front and a metallic back as well as a metallic frame a clear resolve by the company to give it's customers the best gaming device. Despite it being a gaming phone, it's quite slim at just 8.8 mm and weighs 205 g which is slightly at the upper spectrum. 

Being a 2019 phone it ships with Android 9.0(pie) atop the JoyUI 11 OS. Thankfully it is upgradable to Android 10. It also spots a much more powerful Snapdragon 855 processor as compared to the Snapdragon 845 of it's processor. Other phones with the Snapdragon 855 include the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, Oppo Reno 10x zoom and Xiaomi Mi 9T among other 2019 flagships.  

You can choose between four memory Variants of 6+128 GB, 8+128, 8+256 or 12+256 GB  available in Black, Silver or Blue.

In the camera department the Black Shark 2 comes with a dual rear cameras and a single selfie camera. The rear cameras are a 48MP primary lens and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x Optical Zoom. The camera performance is very impressive and can also record 4k videos. In front is a single 20MP selfie camera which is more than enough for your gaming as well as selfie needs. 

The phone is powered by a non removable 4,000 mAh battery with 27W fast charge. Just like other specs of this phone the battery performance is also good and won't have anything to complain about be it that youike gaming or watching videos.
