The realme C2 is a 2019 budget smartphone that was first released May the same year with a suggested retail price of Ksh. 12,499. 

It features a 6.1 inch IPS LCD screen slightly smaller than the 6.5 inch in the Realme C3 which is the successor to this phone. The display has a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels the same in almost all budget phones including the realme C3, realme C15, Infinix Hot 10 and so many other under 15k smartphones.

It is made of a Glass front, Plastic back and a plastic frame. There is no IP rating meaning this phone is not water resistant so you will have to be extra careful with your phone. 

Being a 2019 phone it ships with Android 9.0(pie) atop ColorOs 6.0 lite. Thankfully the phone received Android 10 update February this year and is therefore as competitive as other budget Smartphones. 

The Realme C2 was the first phone to feature the Mediated Helio P22, a budget chipset that is more preferred over other budget chipsets. It has an Octa-core CPU with a top clock-speed of 2.0 GHz. Other phones with the same processor include the Nokia 2.4, Samsung Galaxy A10s, Oppo A1K and Wiko View 3 among other budget phones.  

You can choose between two memory Variants of 2+16, 2+32 or 3+ 32 GB available in a number of color variants of Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, Diamond Sapphire and Diamond Ruby. 

In the camera department the realme C2 has a dual rear camera setup made up of a 13MP primary lens and a 2MP secondary lens. In front is a single 5MP selfie lens. Supported Camera features include LED flash, panorama, Night Mode and can shoot 1080p videos.

The phone is powered by a non removable 4,000 mAh battery that can last you over a day with a single charge. It has no fancy fast charge or reverse charging support.

The realme C2 is still available in a number of retail stores in Kenya with a retail price of around Ksh. 8,999 but might slightly varry depending on the memory type or where you're buying it from. 

At this price the C2 faces a stiff Competition from a number of similarly priced or cheaper phones.
