Nokia 1.4 Price In USA and Full Specifications.

Nokia 1.4 Price In USA Announced and Released February this year, the Nokia 1.4 is one of Nokia's entry-level smartphones currently priced at  around $119.99.

It is a great option to anyone looking for an affordable budget Android phone. However there are a number of sacrifices you will have to content with in terms of performance but it still does almost any task that a smartphone is intented to do.

The phone is a successor to the Nokia 1.3 released April last year and currently priced at around $69.99. Despite some differences here and there the two phones have alot in common including the same processor and the same display resolution.

The Nokia 1.4 features a big 6.52 inch IPS LCD screen with a 720 x 1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen size is slightly bigger than the 5.71 in the Nokia 1.3 and the same as that of the Nokia C5 Endi.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 125 processor which is an entry level chipset that has not done well over entry level processors like the MediaTek Helio A22 in the C2 Tennen and the Helio P22 in the C5 Endi.

Unlike the 1.3 which is available in only one memory variant of 1GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, the Nokia 1.4 gives you three options to choose from including a 1/16 GB, 2/32 GB and 3/64 GB variant.

While large RAM phones are usually preffred over smaller RAM ones, the 1.3 GHz processor in this phone might not do much to complement the 2 or 3 GB RAM.

The Nokia 1.4 becomes the first in the Nokia 1 series to feature a Dual rear Cameras made up of a primary 8MP sensor and another 2 MP macro lens lens the same as in the C2 Tennen and C2 Tava. In front is a single 5MP selfie camera that can also shoot 720p videos.

The battery is also slightly bigger than the 3,000 mAh in the Nokia 1.3, a non removable Li-po 4,000 mAh with no fast charge and will take you quite some time to fully charge it. This battery can last you upto 2 days with a single charge on normal use.

Nokia 1.4 Price in USA

At the time of publishing this post the Nokia 1.4 had a priced of $119.99 at HMD Global store. The phone is also available in almost all leading retail stores in the US and you can get yours from your favorite electronics store. The phone is also available in a number of Nokia's Key markets across the Globe.

At such a price the Nokia 1.4 has a long list of Competitors most of which have almost the same specs and within the same price range. Some of the close Competitors of the Nokia 1.4 are:
  • The Nokia C1 Plus
  • Nokia C2
  • Nokia C3
  • Nokia C5 Endi.
  • Nokia 2.3.
  • Redmi 9A
  • Vivo Y1S
  • Nokia 2.1
  • Realme C11
There are also a number of alternatives but mostly you will have to top up in order to get a slightly much powerful phone.
The Nokia 2.3 which is available in the country at a price of $129.00 is one of it's best alternatives  having a slightly better Mediatek Helio A22 processor, dual cameras and the same memory capacity. However the Nokia 2.3 is slightly more beautiful than the Nokia 1.4  though they have the same 4,000 mAh battery.
Another worthy upgrade is the Realme C12, a budget Smartphone well known for it's long lasting 6,000 mAh battery. Though it might be slightly expensive, realme C12 has a bigger 6.5 inch display and a slightly powerful Mediatek Helio G35 Processor. Other phones you can check out before settling on this phone include the the Nokia 2.2 and the 2019 Vivo V90.
Just like many other Nokia phones the Nokia 1.4 comes with a clean Android 10 which ensures a much cleaner and perfect user experience with close to zero bloatware and ads.

Design:
The Nokia 1.4 is an impressive phone despite it's budget price and a cheap look that might not compete too well with the likes of Infinix and Tecno who have mastered the art of making budget phones that look very impressive designwise.
The phone is made up of a Glass front, plastic back as well as a plastic frame which is a standard built in almost all budget Smartphones.
The front of the phone is largely made of the display safe for the tear drop notch that is more beautiful than in the Nokia 1.3. It also has much more slimmer bezels but like other Nokia phones it gets thick at the bottom with a Nokia logo.
At the back are the dual 8 MP + 2 MP cameras housed together with it's LED flash in a circular module like in many Nokia phones including the Nokia 3.4, Nokia 5.3 and so on. However you won't fail to notice it's slightly cheaper look as compared to the camera modules of other priced Nokia phones.
Unlike the Nokia 1.3 which didn't have the fingerprint scanner, this phone has one that is placed just below the cameras.
The buttons are like in many Nokia phones with the Google Assistant button at the Left, the 3.5 mm jack at the top and the power button + the volume rockers at the right side.
The phone measures 166.4 x 76.7 x 8.7 mm making it more taller and slimmer than the Nokia 1.3 which measures 147.3 x 71.2 x 9.4.

Nokia 1.4 Display.
The HD + display in this phone is still the same as in almost all budget phones from almost all phone brands and we're yet to see a sub 10k phone with Full HD displays yet. This will be good enough for your day to day use, but might tire your eyes just like any such display if you spend most of your time on the screen.
Surprisingly enough this phone has 400 nits maximum brightness and while it may not compete with industry leaders like the Xiaomi Mi 11, this will still make it possible to use your phone outdoors, though you will have a bit of struggle in direct sunlight.

Software Performance.
Despite being an entry-level phone, the Nokia 1.4 is part of Android one program, shipping with Android 10 (Go edition) out of the box and is Android 11 ready thanks to Android one.
The phone is also entitled to timely security and software updates, and like other Android one phones it comes with a clean user interface with no bloatware.
The dedicated Google Assistant button is also an extra feature and if you love using the Google AI assistant then you will always have a shortcut to always wake up your personal AI assistant.
The only issue I seem to have with this phone just like in it's predicessor is the use of the Snapdragon 215 processor, and Nokia should have gone for the Mediatek Helio P22 like in the Nokia C1 Endi.
The 1GB RAM doesn't make things better either, and if you're an heavy phone user you will have to pretty forgiving with this phone.
The phone will perform pretty well when it comes to day to day use, but the experience might be different when it comes to multitasking or heavy gaming. Note that this is an entry-level smartphone and we should not expect much out of it either.
Cameras and the battery.
As stated earlier, the Nokia 1.4 comes with a dual rear cameras and a single selfie camera. However I don't personally think you'll notice any much difference in the camera performance between the two phones, safe for portraits in this phone die to the 2MP macro lens. We will talk more about this once we get to do a full review of the phone.
The battery is a non removable 4,000 mAh unlike the removable 3,000 mAh in the Nokia 1.3. The slight increase could be in order for the phone to keep up with the bigger display, and this was a necessity other than a luxury. Nokia have always been not so generous when it comes to battery sizes but thankfully their clean OS is a big battery saver.
There's also an inbuilt smart battery manager that let's you know the apps that drain your battery and necessary actions to take.
Should you buy the Nokia 1.4
Unlike the Nokia 1.3 which has a number of sacrifices considering it's price, the Nokia 1.4 seems to be ticking a number of right boxes including a bigger 20:9 screen, bigger memory size and dual cameras as well as the slightly bigger Battery.
However the rather old 28nm processor is it's biggest let down and the bigger memory size won't make much of a difference. Therefore the decision to buy this phone or not will largely depend on one's own personal interests and preffernce but if it was up to me I would have to first consider other Alternatives.

Airtel Zawadi points-Everything you need to Know.

Zawadi is a Swahili term for a gift or to reward. Airtel Zawadi therefore is a loyalty program by Airtel Kenya aimed at rewarding its customers for staying loyal to the brand by using their various products and services .  The service closely resembles Safaricom bonga and Telkom Ziada , both also rewarding customers for using their lines to make calls, browse or send SMS as well as transacting on mpesa. How To register for Airtel Zawadi . Initially for you to begin earning Zawadi points, you first had to register for the same by dialing *326# and selecting the option for ' registration'.  Then we couldn't see the option to register and when we contacted Airtel they told us new customers we're automatically enrolled to the program on successful registration of their lines so that they could begin earning from their first too up.  However it seems Airtel are not enrolling their Subscribers for the program anymore, and when I tried to check my points balance after us
