In February 2018, Kwese Tv ,owned by Econet media group, acquired a substantial stake in Iflix Africa.
This move saw the birth of Kwese Iflix in June 2018, with interest in East and Southern African Markets.
Iflix Africa is therefore now known as Kwese Iflix, and the content that is available in Kwese Iflix is also available under Iflix in other countries outside Africa.
 Iflix is a video on demand(VOD) subscription service, which allows it's subscribers access tones of online entertainment from videos, TV shows, documentaries and so much more.
Iflix aims at bringing unlimited online content to the middle class from emerging markets.
Founded in 2014, iflix is based in Malaysia, with it's headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Currently it has operations in over 20 countries in Asia, North America and Africa.
In Africa, iflix launched in South Africa, under Iflix Africa. It then launched in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Sudan and Zimbabwe.

Iflix subscription
If you are outside Africa,You can either subscribe monthly or go for annual subscription. Monthly subscriptions are billed at the end of every month, and annual at the end of every 360.
If you are using the monthly plan, you will be billed whether you use the service or not, and in case you don't want to be charges for the following month, then you have to cancel your subscription before the expiry of the existing monthly plan.
For the annual subscribers, your account will automatically expire at the end of 365 days, and to continue enjoying iflix you will have to make another payment before the expiry of the existing plan.
